Annissa Neider, AIA, NCARB

Annissa found her passion for architecture at a young age while watching her grandpa create masterful replica furniture in his woodshop.

She has devoted her career to her hometown of Youngstown, OH, and is honored to be part of the renaissance of downtown.

Aesthetics and Function
Your project needs both a beautiful aesthetic and an effective, functional design.

Annissa’s career has been spent not just behind a desk, but also out in the field—working with the trades to observe, learn, and provide quality design and craftsmanship. This means she knows how important it is to balance aesthetics and function, while still managing your project’s budget.

Women in Architecture
Having worked in firms of all size, Annissa recognizes the challenges and importance of supporting women in the fields of architecture and construction.

Her firm holds certifications for both WBE and EDGE by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services. She is currently awaiting similar federal recognition.

Mentorship Matters
Being a good architect is more than just good design. It’s also about being active in the architecture community and helping others grow to ensure strong architects for your projects for years to come.

Annissa has served as a mentor throughout her career to young architects and designers from interns to architects ready to lead their first project. Some of these efforts include:

  • Serving as an AXP mentor for architectural graduates in the process of becoming licensed.

  • Mentoring college students during summer internships.

  • Supporting new-hire and entry-level architects and designers (with previous firms).
